Client of the Month July 2025

Client Of the Month July 2025

Nominees:

Liz Avon:

Liz first started with Coach Dan back at LA Fitness over 10 years ago. Unfortunately for us, she has taken many extended breaks over the years due to kids, work, injuries, and other life events. However, a couple months ago she finally returned! Not only did she start coming back to the gym, she also has become one of the largest team contributors to her Olympic team. Sending possibly too many texts in their group chat to coordinate outfits and cheer on her teammates, but it has resulted in her team being in first place for much of the season. During the first week she even ran a mile twice on the same day after not running for years. She has had to be repeatedly told not to overdue things so that we could progress things at a normal amount and not risk any injuries. Still, we love the enthusiasm.

Over the years Liz has been a big contributor to our community through referring multiple people to us. We have already had 3 this summer only from her. She also of course was the one to refer Ben Avon (her husband) who has been with us ever since ~2015. She also referred long time client (now remotely), Shay.

For all of this and all of her positive energy she brings to the gym she is being nominated as the Client of the Month for July 2025.

Ben Avon:

Ben Avon has been training with Become Better for over 8 years. His wife, Liz Avon, was an original client of Coach Dan’s during his short tenure at LA Fitness. Soon after, Liz convinced Ben to also train with Become Better.  Even though Ben and Liz have missed time here and there because of his duties as a father and husband, Ben and Liz have been part of the Become Better family ever since.

Anyone who has met Ben knows he has one of the best gym spirits any place could ask for.   He is always the first to motivate and cheer on others as they also do their best to Become Better. Just like Liz, Ben had been a very large part of the Become Better Olympics by always being helpful to not just his team but literally any person performing one of the events.  Since Ben’s last nomination he has had a goal of hitting a 300lb Bench Press.  At that time of nomination in 2023 he had hit 130kg or 286lb but this Olympics there is a very good chance he hits his goal!  He has already hit 3 more kg than he did previously so everyone cheer him on!
