Feet Elevated Pike Push-up

Description/Instructions:

  1. Place feet on an elevated surface. Higher = Harder

  2. Place your hands shoulder width apart on the ground.

  3. Then put the top of your head between your hands. This will make somewhat of an “L” shape.

  4. Then push against the ground to extend your arms and lift your head off the ground.

  5. Control yourself down and repeat.

Helpful Cues:

  1. Embrace the fact that this may feel weird.

  2. Focus on pressing like you would a weight over your head

  3. Try to get the top of your head on the ground, not just your forehead.

  4. Keep your butt directly on top of your head as much as possible

Common Mistakes:

  1. Pressing at an angle. Your body should move fairly vertically if possible.

  2. Crashing down and hitting your head. CONTROL YOURSELF DOWN!
