Band Lateral Walk + Leg Lift

DESCRIPTION/INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place a mini band around the top of your feet.

  2. Step your right foot out to just outside shoulder width and then bring your left foot to meet your right foot.

  3. Lift your knee up to hip height and pull up on the band with your foot, then lower it back down to the ground.

  4. Repeat this whole process with the left foot first now.

HELPFUL CUES:

  1. Keep your toes pointed straight ahead and slightly up. This will help make sure the band stays in place and the right muscles are being targeted.

COMMON MISTAKES:

  1. Pointing your toes sideways. Keep them straight ahead to make sure the correct muscles are being worked.

  2. Pointing your toes down as you lift your knee. This may cause the band to slip off of your foot.
