September 8th:

5 Reasons Strength Training is Important For Youth Athletes!

1. Building Strength will help Athletes become stronger, faster, and more explosive in their sport.

2. Learning gym etiquette and rules are applicable to every day life

3. Building strength properly helps with injury prevention

4. Strength Training can help build relationships with fellow athletes who are also training in the gym.

5. Training is fun!

September 15th:

Not sure what to eat before a workout? If you haven’t had anything to eat in a few hours, then try to eat a small meal consisting of mostly carbs and a little protein 30 to 60 minutes before your workout. 150-200 Calories for most people is enough.

To better brace your abs, imagine getting punched in the stomach. The way you would brace yourself for this impact is how you should think of activating during exercises like 6 inches or planks.

September 29th:

General strength training for volleyball can not only help your vertical jump, but also help prevent common injuries that occur on the court. We use many common rehab exercises such as monster walks, external rotations, and different balancing exercises in addition to larger pressing, pulling, and squatting movements to supplement all of our training to keep our athletes as close to injury free as possible.
